Hurricane Milton - Update 4/22/2025
Below is a timeline and current status on projects related to cleanup from Hurricane Milton from the Spring Lake Community Development Board of Supervisors.
- Approved on October 22, 2024 - ASI Landscaping bracing over 135 plus down trees in the community, trimming up hanging branches and removing trees/debris on CDD property which was phase one of the cleanup. This was started on 11/6/2024 and completed by 11/30/24.
- Approved on December 4, 2024 – REP Services contract to repair the playground damage. This was started and completed on 1/20/25.
- Approved on December 9, 2024 – ASI Landscaping remove remaining down and damaged trees and debris from CDD property which is phase two of the cleanup. This was started on 12/16/24 and completed by 2/14/25.
- Approved on January 28, 2025 – The Board approved not to exceed amounts to repair the CDD owned PVC fence along pond 7 and the townhome area. We have contracted with Southern Construction as of February 18, 2025. The pond 7 fence repairs were completed 3/4/25. The townhome area fence repairs started March 17, 2025. Please note this is not PVC fence that is on resident property please see the link below.
- Approved on January 28, 2025 - Crosscreek Environmental was approved to make the lake bank repairs from the storm. We expect them to start between 4/28 and 5/2 and the project take 7-10 weeks to complete.
- All the community seasonal holiday banners have been repaired as of 3/28/25.
- The Steadfast Roofing has completed the monument roof repair as of 4/18/25.
- Approved on April 22, 2025 - Southern Construction has some repairs to the CDD PVC fence along Blue Pacific Drive to make. We expect this to be done in the next 2-3 weeks.
We ask that residents review this link to the Wall & Fence Maintenance Responsibility Map Dated 04-26-2023. This map shows who is responsible for certain areas of the PVC fence. In most cases residents are responsible for the PVC fence behind their homes since it is on your property. This is not PVC fence owned and maintained by the CDD.
